Anxiety Epidemic – Have you caught it?

Anxiety, Stress, Worry – Whatever you call it in todays society it’s definately and unfortunately, on the up!

Whether it’s the enormous expectations you put upon yourself or the immense expectations of others that you’re taking on yourself, whichever it is, you’ve got to stop!

stop sign

Just say NO! isn’t just for an anti-drugs slogan…..

So is it more easy said than done to stop your anxiety? No, it isn’t…thankfully!

There are a many things that you can do, some that you probably already know and do (sometimes) and some that you can easily learn.

The first step, like anything, is to become aware of what is making you anxious & stressed.

So here is a way to begin your Anxiety-Free Journey.

………………………………………………………………………………………………

1)Make a list of everything that causes you worry, anxiety or stress – leave room for a column on the right-hand side of the page.

2)Read your list and measure on a scale of 1-10, how bad that situation, person, consquence, experience is for you and write it into the right-hand side column.

3)Now look at your list and circle the Top 5 anxieties for you.

4)Next is the action part, write the Top 5 in order of importance to you onto another page, leaving two columns at the right-hand side.

5)In the first column write your preferred outcome/answer to this problem/challenge/anxiety.

6)Looking at your answer in the 1st column, what is the first step you can do right now to get nearer to that end result? write it down.

7) Take action – Take that first step! Start with your top anxiety and once taken then work your way down the list.

8)Repeat process again, writing next relevant step and then doing.

9) Repeat until end result achieved.

10) Celebrate all achievement & results, large & small along the way!

……………………………………………………………………………………………..

This simple technique means that you can gain a different perspective & outlook meaning that you can look at and find the solution, rather than being stuck in the problem.

It allows you to gain control back and be able to make choices,  decisions and take action, rather than feeling overwhelmed, stuck and isolated.

……………………………………………………………………………………………..

I strongly encourage you to make the decision to do this exercise to become calmer, more confident and more capable.

Why wait to be happier when you can do it, now!

……………………………………………………………………………………………..

I look forward to hearing about what you’ve learn’t, let-go of and what you’re now doing instead of worrying!
